Just a reminder…the Carterville Chamber of Commerce Pumpkin Path is October 31st from 6-8pm.  Please join us downtown for music, food and lots of candy!  Citywide door to door Trick or Treat hours are also October 31st from 6-9pm.

Water Outage/Boil Order

Due to problems encountered during a water line replacement, the Carterville water system will be shut down at 3:30 today (10-29-18). The outage is estimated to be one hour in duration and a boil water order will be in effect after water service is restored.

This position is responsible for providing essential administrative support to the Police Department. Manages and maintains department records and processes used to maintain the operation of a law enforcement organization. Work hours will average 20 per week. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma/GED and at least two years of general office work experience at an equivalent level of responsibility.  Must work well under stressful situations with minimum supervision and maintain confidentiality. Isolated Boil Order – October 11, 2018

An isolated BOIL WATER ORDER has been issued for customers on both sides of West Grand Ave between Mulberry and Dent Streets.

The boil order will remain in effect until further notice.

Water to be used for Drinking and Cooking Purposes should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 5 (five) minutes before use.
