Trash Collection Update – February 16, 2021

Republic Services will resume residential trash pick up tomorrow (Wednesday 2/17/21).  They will begin with the regular Monday route and will continue with collections throughout the week. Republic is asking all residential customers to leave their containers at the curb and be patient while they work to complete this week’s routes.   Feel free to contact the Carterville Water and Sewer Department with any questions or concerns.

BOIL WATER ORDER

**UPDATE: The Boil Water Order was LIFTED on 2/16/21 at 12:30pm

Due to a large water main break, all Carterville Water customers are under a boil water order beginning at 2:30pm on February 14, 2021.  The boil order is expected to last 48 hours but it will remain in effect until all samples clear the lab testing.  Please contact the Carterville Water and Sewer Department with any questions.

Trash Collection Interruption

Due to road conditions, Republic Services has suspended trash collection for today.  Residents are asked to follow their normal trash routine, but keep cans out until trash is collected.  Republic will make every effort to pick up in a safe, timely manner. Please call the Water Department with any questions. 618-985-2011
