The 9^th Annual Downtown Carterville Block Party was held on May 6^th, 2016.  Members of the community enjoyed balloon animals, an ice cream truck, hotdogs, snow cones, cotton candy, face painting and temporary hair color, and a variety of games, all free of charge.  Children had an exciting time climbing on the City fire truck, dump truck, and zero-turn lawnmower.  Those in attendance had a fun time getting to meet and greet neighbors and city leaders. 

A big shout out to McDonald’s, Chamber of Commerce, Carterville Rotary, Unit 5 School District, First Southern Bank, American Ice Cream, the Fire Department, Police Department, Public Works Departments, and many others!
