The City of Carterville is currently seeking candidates for Police Chief. This position oversees and directs all activities of the police department for the City of Carterville. Responsibilities include planning for the use of resources, coordinating the activities of the department, and ensuring that services provided are of the highest quality. Applicants must have ten years of experience in law enforcement that includes supervisory experience. The position must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License and certification from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
