08/05/2024, 10:15am: The Carterville Water system sustained another break that caused a depletion of reserves. Water will be restored within an hour but will be under a boil water order when service returns
UPDATE 08/05/2024, 8:30am: The boil water order previously issued for all Carterville water customers has been LIFTED.
UPDATE 08/04/2024, 9:45am: The repairs are complete and water service is being restored. It will take time for the storage tanks to fill and pressure to be restored. All Carterville water customers are now under a boil water order. All water used for consumption should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 5 minutes.
08/04/2024, 7:30am: Due to a water main break at the water tower that cannot be isolated, all Carterville water service will be interrupted during repairs. Water service will be returned today and Carterville Water customers will be under a boil water order when service is restored.
