Cannon Park
This beautiful Carterville park includes a community center, baseball field, skate park, walking path that surrounds a pond, volleyball courts (sand), playground, pavilion, gazebo, and memorial garden. Cannon Park also offers two handicap accessible pieces of playground equipment. A swing set and “ten spin” were installed to help make the park all-inclusive for children.
Ballfields and shelters can be reserved. A minimal refundable deposit is required to reserve shelters. Contact Carterville City Hall to make reservation or more information at 618-985-2252.

Directions from Rt. 13
– Head north on Greenbriar Road (near John A. Logan Community College).
– Staying on Greenbriar, pass over Grand Avenue.
– Park is 0.1 miles to the right.
James Street Park
The city’s oldest park includes four baseball fields, a pavilion, playground, and batting cages. Basketball courts are adjacent to the park at the Carterville Intermediate School.
Tri-C Athletics utilizes these ballfields for most of the spring/summer season, but you can inquire for more information at city hall. Shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis; no reservation or deposit required.
Directions from Rt. 13
– Turn north on S. Division St. at stop light.
– Continue through downtown Carterville, turn left at James Street.

Located in Cambria, this park offers baseball fields, a playground, and an annual Labor Day Celebration.
